The majestic Dan Cong Huang Zhi Xiang!

Imagine sipping on a tea that captures the essence of orange blossoms, gardenias, and sunshine-kissed afternoons. This exquisite Phoenix Oolong from Guangdong Province is a masterclass in complexity, with notes of almonds and pipe tobacco in its dry leaf aroma giving way to a deeply floral perfume when infused. Harvested April 2024.

The medium-bodied liquor unfolds like a blooming garden, releasing hints of burnt sugar and leaving a lingering finish that will leave you yearning for another sip. And did I mention the tea's aroma is reminiscent of 30-50 year old Shui Xian cultivar trees? Ah, the secrets hidden within this ancient tea tree's leaves are truly something special!

Treat yourself or gift it to someone who appreciates the art of tea-making. Whatever your choice, I'm confident that this majestic oolong will transport you to a world of tranquility and delight.

Phoenix Mountain in northern Guangdong Province is renowned for its distinctive oolong tea production method. Tea farmers cultivate single groves to mimic specific fruit and flower fragrances, resulting in some of the most captivating and complex flavor profiles in the world.

One unique aspect of Phoenix Mountain teas is the "Dan Zhu" (single tree) processing style. This means that every batch comes from a single tree, ensuring that the tea's flavor profile is entirely consistent and never blended with other trees. In contrast, teas from larger or younger trees are often picked and blended before processing, which yields single varietals but not Dan Cong.

This dedication to quality and uniqueness has earned Phoenix Mountain oolongs a reputation for being some of the most exceptional in the world.
