This fragrant black tea produces a deep amber infusion with spicy notes of cinnamon and bay complementing the piney smoke flavor.  Easily the finest Lapsang Souchong we have ever found!

Lapsang Souchong is one of the world's earliest black teas. Our tea comes from Tong Mu Guan of Fujian, the original birthplace of  Lapsang Souchong. The tea garden is located in a dense forest in the mountains. Tong Mu Guan is inside the National Wuyi Natural Park. Here the environment has been well protected. The altitude of Tong Mu Guan is around 560m. The rain and cloudy mist contribute to the quality of tea.  The rocky soil of the tea garden supplies the tea with rich minerals which produce a mellower taste and less astringency.
