Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong Province produces some of our favorite teas in the world. We have put together a diverse selection for you to try and hopefully find some new favorites of your own. This sampler contains Ba Xian Xiang (Eight Immortals) Oolong, Ya Shi Xiang Oolong, and Dan Cong Black.

The local Cultivar from the Phoenix Mountain area is a tall single trunk tree whose branches open like an umbrella. It is believed that the teas produced from these trees were originally a Song Dynasty tribute tea. We have included three distinctive varieties that are some of our favorite teas from anywhere.

Each reusable tin contains .75oz of tea or enough to make 3-4 pots or gong fu sessions of each.

Ba Xian Xiang-Eight Immortals We love the complex floral aroma of this tea. It is perfectly balanced with a luscious lingering finish. The story is that the original tree was struck by lightning and this cultivar was developed from grafting the eight branches, each named for characters from Chinese mythology.
Ya Shi Xiang (Duck Shit Aroma) Legend has it that the soil where this is grown is the color of duck shit and others say the farmers claimed to protect the uniqueness of their treasured crop. Whatever the story or name, this is one of our most loved teas. The aroma and flavor of tropical fruit and flowers are simply amazing. One taste and you will be a believer.
Dan Cong Black This award-winning tea is an oolong varietal that has been oxidized as a black tea. It is intensely aromatic and incredibly complex. With flavors of tropical fruit and honey and the richness of black tea; this tea is one of our absolute favorites.
