This Lao Bai Cha tea was grown in Wa Kan Shan of Simao District, South Yunnan. Made from Qun Ti Zhong (mixed cultivars) Yunnan Big Leaf Tea (Yunnan var. Assamica), it was grown at an altitude of around 1600m. This tea garden was first planted from seed in 1960. The trees are almost 60 years old and are considered old bush. The local Wa tribal farmers have practiced natural farming from the beginning of the garden and it has been certified organic by EU and NOP standards since 2012.
