| The Korakundah Estate is a Fair Trade certified Estate that is located at 10,000 feet above sea level, making it the highest estate in the Nilgiris region. Teas have been grown in this region since the 19th century. The cooler temperatures at this elevation along with its distinct wet and dry season create a very different flavor than other Indian black teas. In addition to producing delicious organic teas, this estate has developed pension programs for their workers and provided school buses for the families, and many other benefits. |
