One of the most popular oolong teas. Tie guan yin is grown and produced in the Anxi region. Like other oolongs, the styles and flavor will vary with the roasting and processing. In recent years lighter roasts (similar to green teas) have been more popular. Our Anxi Tie Guan Yin is lightly roasted which produces a lightly floral aroma and creamy delicious liquor. It is perfect for gong fu sessions as the flavor continues to develop with each steep.
This delicate pale yellow infusion has a light orchid aroma. The flavor reminds me of sweet biscuits with undertones of sugar snap peas and a long lingering finish.
Tea is highly personal and these instructions are only a starting point. Play with the parameters to find the perfect flavor for you.❦
